Wireframes
In this stage, we create a staging site and build pages as wireframes.
The goal here is to focus on the content and function of each page, without the distraction of a design discussion around fonts, colors and photo selection.
Homework: To be completed by x/xx/xx
To move the project forward as effectively as possible, we need you to complete these tasks one week prior to the next scheduled meeting.
Complete the items in any order and then indicate in the update form below that you've completed everything - or need more time or assistance.
1. Feedback
After having time to reflect and review the wireframes with your team, please provide feedback for the changes you'd like to see in the next round.
If you're having trouble, please read the Feedback Guidelines above for the type of helpful comments we're looking for.
- Do we need to rearrange or re-prioritize content sections on any page?
- Are we missing anything?
- Can we eliminate anything we're currently showing?
- Or - from a design perspective - are you uncomfortable with any aspect of what's taking shape so far?
Even if you have no feedback - or you overall approve - please go ahead and indicate that in the feedback form located in the section below.
2. Review Sitemap
The Sitemap is simply the hierarchical list of all pages that will appear on your website. Links to those pages will be provided in the main navigation menu and/or a supplementary footer navigation menu.
We have already created and displayed these in the wireframed staging site, but you have the opportunity to request edits.
Please visit your Content Spreadsheet (Google Sheet) and in the Client Notes column please indicate:
- any alterations to the page titles
- any alterations to the page order
- any missing page (assuming it's within project scope)
- any page you want to take away - or delay the publishing for a later date
3. Provide Assets
For the next phase of the project, we'll need to start using your "real" and branded content.
Please upload any other branded content that would be helpful in the Google Drive folder linked below.
- Brand book
- Font files
- Illustrations
- Logo variations
- Branded Assets Folder
Please upload any images that can be used on the website in the Google Drive folder below. We're happy to make selections for you (which can always be updated at a later date) but you may also indicate any must-use images for any page by creating subfolders in the linked folder below.
Image Size Guidelines:
- Large Images - 1920 x 1080
- Smaller Images (Beer Archive, Crew sections) 1000 x 1000
4. Provide Content
We'll need written content for each of the pages below. Follow these instructions to input the content due for this portion of the project!
- Click on each link below to visit the appropriate section of the staging site admin
- Enter your text in the applicable boxes
- While this will not automatically be reflected onto the page, you may visit the front-end of the website to review the sections of placeholder text that need to be replaced. To see the page, click "View Page" or "View Location" in the admin bar at the top of your dashboard.
Content Due:
- Home Page - FIX THIS!
- Location Page - Add your hours, address/contact info also
- Our Story
For the following content, the links will take you to the Content Spreadsheet (Google Sheet) for entry
- FAQs
- Age Gate - all we need is the "no" link and the titles of buttons
Feedback
Need a little guidance on the type of response that's helpful? Review our Feedback Guidelines located at the top of the page.
Feel free to upload screenshots - or provide examples with links.
If you feel like it was all covered in our previous meeting, that's cool too - go ahead and indicate that.
